Major Players is the number one digital, creative and tech recruitment agency in the UK. For years they’ve been leaders in the industry. But, increasingly, they found themselves under pressure from new challengers and competitors quickly catching up with their proactivity, initiatives and culture. What was once stand-out was becoming standard. What’s more, attitudes towards recruiters were at an all-time low, with clients and candidates feeling misunderstood and commoditised.
Creative recruitment was ripe for a radical transformation and Major Players needed a brand that would shake up the industry, attract the best talent, and propel them into an exciting new chapter of growth.
For Major leaps forward.
Major change occurs when the right person meets the right opportunity. But it takes true talent to make that happen. Any recruiter can fill a vacancy, but transforming companies and careers is a rare feat. Built around the central idea of ‘Major leaps forward’, Re positioned Major Players as the talent business that makes change happen — accelerating ambitions, while creating major transformation for companies and careers.
We brought this idea to life through ‘the leap’, a visual device which expresses a ‘jump forward’ in a career journey. The shape simulates the ‘M’ in our logo, dipping and rising in a non-linear fashion — following the dynamic nature of change and progression. The transformation happens between the start and end points, where ‘the leap’ interacts with the content. Each transformation is a window into a bright future, expressed through striking creative and reflecting the ‘major leap’ that’s been sparked in each individual person or business.
Spreading the Major message.
The name Major Players refers to more than just a business. It encapsulates the entire tribe, from employees to candidates. So Re developed a bold tone of voice and messaging which reflects this, with inclusivity and warmth at its core.
We worked closely with Major Players to build a rich messaging and typographic library. Using headlines, we elevated core values to the forefront of the brand — allowing typography to express ‘the leap’ when interacting with our Major talent.
